In-App Survey Settings

Once you have created your in-app survey, it’s time to configure who should receive it and when it should appear on the Survey Settings page.

To set up your survey:

On your methinks App Insights dashboard, click on the In-App Survey drop-down menu button and select Surveys.
Click on Settings.

Targeting
Add targeting filters to determine who should receive the survey.

Click on the drop-down menu button to select between using “or” or "and" logic to combine filters.
Click on the drop-down menu to select a targeting filter.

To add more filters click on + Add a filter.

Sampling
This setting specifies how many of the targeted users should receive the survey.

Click to add a number between 1 and 100.

Preference
Checking this option makes the survey optional, and users can skip the survey.

Click to check or uncheck the option.

Survey Schedule

These settings determine when your surveys should run and stop.

1. Click to select the option that best fits your survey schedule timeline.
  
  Run survey indefinitely
  With this option, your survey will keep collecting responses until you manually set it to stop.
  
  Set number of responses collected
  With this option, you can input the number of responses that you want to collect, and once the number has been reached the survey will end.
  
  1. Click to type in the number of responses you want to collect.
  
  Run until set date
  This option will run your survey until the input date that you choose.
  1. Click to select the date that you want your survey to run until.
  
  Set the survey time of the day
  With this option, you can choose which specific times of the day you want the surveys to be shown to users.
  1. Click the checkbox to turn on the option.
  
  2. Click the drop-down menus to select the exact hour and minutes that you want your survey to be shown.

Once you have finished adding all the details to your survey, click on Save.

To delete a survey:

1. Click on Delete Survey.
To launch a survey:
1. Click on Launch.

2. Make sure you are ready to launch the survey with the targeted users based on the survey settings and click on Confirm.
To stop a survey:
1. Click on Stop.

2. Click on Confirm.
