App Settings: about your app

The App Settings page is where you can find the Client and Product keys necessary to implement methinks App Insights SDK. You can specify your iOS app's App ID or your Android app's Bundle ID by manually entering it or by searching it from the store if it is published in the App Store or Google Play.

To access App Settings:
1. In your methinks App Insights dashboard, click App Settings.

Product name

1. Specify the name of your app. This name will be used on the menu when you switch between different apps.
   
   
   
   

About your app
Here you can specify your app information and obtain the keys necessary for integration.

If you have an Android app

1. Select the checkbox to turn on the I have an Android app option.
2. Click and type the name of your app in the search box.
3. Select your app from the list.
   
   
   
   
4. Your app's App ID will be automatically imported.
5. Click on the "Copy" icon to copy your client and product keys. 
   
   
   

Note: If your app is not available on Google Play, select Not available in store, and specify the App ID manually

If you have an iOS app

1. Select the checkbox to turn on the I have an iOS app option.
2. Click and type the name of your app in the search box.
3. Select your app from the list.
   
   
   

4. Your app's Bundle ID will be automatically imported.
5. Click on the "Copy" icon to copy your client and product keys. 
   
   
   

Note: If your app is not available on App Store, select Not available in store, and specify the Bundle ID manually

Global Settings

1. Click and type to add or edit the name of the company that this app belongs to.  Please note that the change made here affects all apps that belong to the same company.
   
   
   

Click on Save Settings to save all information.
