How it works: App Insights dashboard and SDK

With methinks App Insights dashboard and SDK, you can understand, track and review user journeys, and obtain real-time feedback from your app users with in-app surveys and live intercept. 

To start, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Create a methinks business account
To create a methinks business account:

1. On your computer, go to the methinks home page. 
2. Click on Start Free Trial or Sign Up. 
3. Create an account. You will receive a verification email.
4. Click on Verify Email in the verification email. A new tab will open directing you to the methinks login page. If not already saved, enter your login information and click on Log In.
   
   

Step 2: App Insights SDK implementation
Implementing App Insights SDK into your app is very quick (less than 10 minutes) and simple, with a single line of code. Please follow the steps and information provided in our Implementation Guide.  

To access the Implementation Guide:

• Access the Implementation Guide through your methinks App Insights dashboard:
  1. On your App Insights dashboard, click on the Implementation Guide drop-down menu button.
  
  
  
  
  2. Select the Implementation Guide system by clicking on iOS or Android. 
  
  
  
  
• Access the Implementation Guide through the methinks website:
  1. Go to methinks Implementation Guide.
  2. Select the Implementation Guide system by clicking on iOS or Android. 
  
  
  
  

Step 3: View user journey, launch in-app surveys, live intercept users, and set app review prompts!

As soon as your users start using your app with the methinks App Insights SDK implemented, your users' journey will be automatically captured in the form of screenshots and be available to view in the methinks dashboard. Learn how to view user journey tracking insights.

To obtain customer feedback:

a) Create, launch and set in-app surveys.
b) Setup live intercepts. (Coming soon!)
c) Setup app review prompts. (Coming soon!)

Note: The number of available user journeys and survey responses depend on the App Insights plan you have. You can upgrade your plan anytime. Learn more about methinks App Insights plan options.

Step 4: Review answers and download deliverables
After launching in-app surveys, app review prompts, and live intercept prompts,  you will be able to view, share, and download the collected responses in the App Insights dashboard.
