How to create and schedule 1:1 and Focus Group Interviews
1:1 video interviews
- To invite a user to a 1:1 video interview:
1. Select the chosen participant under the Participants menu.
2. Click on Invite.
3. Select Interview on the invitation type and project pop up.
4. Click on Next.
5. Select a 1:1 Interview.
6. If needed, click on the drop-down menu to change the transcription language and select the option that best fits your needs.
7. Click on the toggle to enable Connection Devices and Share Settings.
Note: This feature is important if you want participants to join the interview using a specific device and if you want to share your screen and/or image files with participants.
8. Click to select the checkbox I would like to share my screen and/or image files with participants.
9. Click on Next.
10. Click on the drop-down to select the Interview Duration.
11. Click to request a specific date and time for the interview. Or, click on Provide my available time slot to provide time slots for your participant to choose from. Click on add to add a time slot.
12. Click on Next.
13. If you want, add a customized message to the participant in the text field.
Note: You can review the customized message on the Overview page of the interview settings pop up. To edit the message click on Back and click to make text changes.
14. Click on Next.
15. Review your interview details overview.
16. Click on Confirm.
Focus group interviews
- To invite users to focus group interviews:
1. Select the chosen participants under the Participants menu.
2. Click on Invite.
3. Select Interview.
4. Click on Next.
5. If needed, click on the drop-down menu to change the transcription language and select the option that best fits your needs.
6. If you already have created focus groups interviews and wish to add the selected participants to the upcoming focus group interview, select the focus group you want to add users to or click on + Create a focus group to create another focus group.
7. Enter the focus group name in the text field.
8. Click on the drop-down to select the Interview Duration.
9. Click to request a specific date and time for the interview.
10. Click on Next.
11. Review your interview details overview.
12. Click on Confirm. - Pro tip: Quickly create a focus group interview from the Home page of the methinks dashboard.
1. Click on Create Focus Group.
2. Enter the focus group name in the text field.
3. Click on the drop-down to select the Interview Duration.
4. Click to request a specific date and time for the interview.
5. Click on Confirm.
6. Confirm the interview details and click on Yes.
7. You will find information about all of your upcoming interviews under Home, including the focus group interview you have just created.
8. Click on Add a participant to start inviting participants to this focus group interview.
9. Type the participant's name and click on the checkmark icon.
10. Click on the + icon to add the participant to the focus group.
11. Continue adding more participants by repeating the steps above.
12. To remove a participant from an upcoming focus group interview, hover over the participants’ names and click on the x icon.
- To edit a video interview schedule:
1. Click on Edit Schedule.
2. Select the new date, time, and duration.
3. Click on Send. - To cancel a 1:1 or focus group interview:
1. Click on Edit Schedule.
2. Select Cancel Interview.
