How to download video recordings

After conducting 1:1 and focus group video interviews, you can download the video files to share with your team.

To download a complete video interview:
1. On your methinks dashboard click on Interview Recordings.

2. Click to select the video interview that you want to access.
3. Click on the Download button.

4. Click on the text field to edit the video file name.

5. Click to turn the stream toggles (camera, mic, and screen share) on and/or off.

Pro tip: by turning a toggle off, the respective stream will not be included in the recording file. For example, if you turn the camera toggle off of a participant before clicking the Download button, the participant’s camera stream won’t appear on the downloaded video file.

To download a video file with or without camera streams:
1. Choose the participant you want to turn off or turn on the camera stream.
2. Click on the toggle to switch on or off.

To download a video file with a specific mic on or off:
1. Choose the participant you want to turn off or turn on the mic stream.
2. Click on the toggle to switch on or off.

To download a video file with a screen share stream on or off:
1. Choose the participant you want to turn off or turn on the screen share stream.
2. Click on the toggle to switch on or off.

3. Click on Download to download the video file to your computer.

To download the recording with audio only:
1. Click on the Download button.

2. Click on the text field to edit the video file name.
3. Click on the Audio file only button.
